We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At The Scout Association we are currently looking for a Project Manager to join team based in Gilwell Park, Essex. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 35 hours per week. You will receive a competitive salary of £33,892 pa including OLW plus fantastic benefits.
About the Project Manager role
The Project Management Of?ce supports portfolio, programme and project management at TSA HQ. The PMO employs project managers that are assigned to support the delivery of key strategic programmes and projects. They work hand-in-hand with the Senior Responsible Owners / Sponsors of the programmes / projects that they are assigned to. They ensure that programmes / projects are governed and managed in accordance with TSA’s programme and project management framework.
The PMO also serves as the centre of excellence for TSA’s programme and project management framework. Project managers in the PMO spend part of their time on maintaining and continuing to improve the framework. They also support staff in other departments to govern and manage programmes and projects in accordance with the framework e.g. through providing training and advice.
What we’re looking for in our Project Manager
You must have previous experience having worked on programmes / projects and the below would be desirable;
- Quali?cation in project management or equivalent
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Knowledge of project management techniques, tools and software
- Experience working within a charity or membership organisation
- Working within an organisation that has signi?cant involvement of volunteers in the governance and delivery of projects
- Stakeholder management
- Programme and project design, planning & scheduling
- Managing risks and issues
- Change management
