Project Manager (Housing / Construction)
Complex / Major Projects

Fixed Term Contract - 18 Months

Are you a project manager with experience of delivering high rise refurbishment schemes?

Are you looking to work in a unique organisation where your knowledge and experience will continue to put customers are at the heart of everything they do?

Do you want to make a real difference?

Our client combines two high performing North West social landlords. The scale is big - over 22,000 homes, 1,000 employees and an annual turnover of more than £100M with ambitions to spend £30M per annum on new homes. As for the location, they sit across St Helens and Warrington, right at the heart of one of the fastest developing growth areas in the country.

They now have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join a dynamic Assets Management team on a FTC basis for 18 months. As Project Manager you will play a key role in transforming the look and feel of our client’s communities, changing the way people think and feel about where they live.

Working in a collaborative culture, you will be managing planned investment schemes including the refurbishment of a high rise block of flats from inception stage through to practical completion. This will include preparing technical specifications and contract documentation, overseeing the contract letting process and monitoring works onsite. The role offers real diversity in the types of situations you will be dealing with, in fact no two days will be the same. Another important part of the role is the management of key external stakeholder relationships including tenants, contractors and local authorities, taking ownership for problems and challenges that arise along the way.

Our client is looking for a Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering planned investment schemes and delivering high rise refurbishment schemes and other major projects. You will be a member of the RICS or have the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through extensive and relevant experience within the construction industry.

You will need to have a keen eye for detail to ensure tenant safety as well as legal and regulatory compliance and you will have the ability to engage with staff, peers, tenants and external partners to build relationships and inspire confidence and respect.

This role will require you to spend a lot of time on site, although there will also be the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely at times.
