ROLE – Project Engineer
LOCATION – Burgess Hill
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

My client designs and manufactures high precision mechanical products for a range of industries including automotive, oil and gas and the aerospace sector.

The Project Engineer role will involve:
  • Reviewing customer requirements and standards and ensuring these are met or negotiated and prepared and attend customer meetings
  • Head up quality expectations and issues
  • Working to budgets and creating and reporting on project timings
  • Working to company processes and creation of new processes to provide efficient and effective practices
  • Creation and evaluation of test procedures and Identify failure modes and assist in providing solutions
  • Machine safety reviews and solutions
  • Analysis of data to solve problems and providing common sense and fit for purpose solutions
  • Source and qualify new suppliers
  • Assisting other departments in project engineering e.g. sales
  • Occasional travel to customer and other group sites

Required Experience:
  • A sound understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in the project management of customers, suppliers and personnel
  • Proficient in consultation and negotiation techniques
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office products
