Project Architect - Small Office of AJ50
£35,000 - £40,000
Manchester City Centre
The best things about a big practice (most people think) is often project type, scale and scope, Technology and a Modicum of Security as well as pay.
The best thing about a small practice (I think / KNOW) is usually progression, your ability to make an impact, flexible approach to work, more responsibility and better quality experience as a result.
Well what about not choosing between the two? What about a small(ish) office that is part of an AJ Top 50 practice?
This opportunity offers you all of the above. They can certainly afford you. You won't be just another drone churning out packages without being noticed as there are 10 in the Manchester office. You get perks including Parking in Manchester city centre. You get more responsibility than in any of the practices other offices and you can certainly make a big impact.
The schemes range from £10m - £50m in size (and tend to be relatively local), from Commercial, Apartments, Resi to Industrial, Retail and Cultural.
Progression is good here. Nobody between you and the Directors / Associate Directors.
All they ask is that you know something about Revit / BIM (all projects are now fully collaborative with a high end BIM expert also in place) and in an absolutely ideal world High Density Resi or Social Housing, but they can overlook this as personality and quality of experience is much more important.
