A bit about us

We are St Andrew's. We are a mental health Charity and our purpose is to inspire hope for those living with complex mental health needs.

We are looking to a future with less stigma, more community support, more research and education, and we aim to be at the forefront of inspiring real change. We want to ensure we can all live in a society where everyone with complex mental health needs is heard, valued and has hope for their future.

Come and join us, and support us to help people transform their lives.

A bit about the role

You will provide leadership, management and support for all Apprenticeships related to Nursing. This includes, but is not limited to Nursing Associates, Registered Nurse and Advanced Practitioner apprenticeship pathways. Working with our St Andrew's Education Manager responsible for Apprenticeships, you will ensure that our Charity complies with both OFSTED and NMC requirements in relation to supporting and developing our Apprentices.

You will be responsive to the Charity's workforce plan and will develop both recruitment, selection and implementation pathways to ensure the Charity is developing Nurses through the apprenticeship route. You will work with key stakeholders, both internally and externally to facilitate learning and placement learning opportunities, whilst proactively working within the organisation to both promote and realise the potential of nursing apprenticeships.

A bit about you

A Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, you will be experienced in working with nurse learners in a mental health or learning disability setting. You will ideally be a registered Practice Assessor or Supervisor and have experience in curriculum or course design and development, and programme development and leadership. You will also bring a knowledge of OFSTED/ESFA and the regulatory requirements for apprenticeships.

You will have experience of engaging key stakeholders, including Patients, in educational and practice development. You will also be accustomed to liaising with external organisations such as NHS England, Integrated Care Boards and Universities.

Our patients and your colleagues will expect you to live the St Andrew's CARE values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence every single day.
