Production Planner

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining delivery performance to both external & internal customers, ensuring that piece parts are launched to the shop floor in good time to meet all specified programs. Equally important is the management of Stock and WIP, keeping these to a minimum, and the following of batch control requirements of the Aerospace industry

Description

  • Order book management and the provision of forecast dates
  • Inventory Management and control
  • MRP planning parameter maintenance
  • Achieving OTD
  • Product expediting through machine shop and assembly cells
  • Co-ordinate supply chain both internally and externally
  • Creating picking lists
  • Stock checks and rotation
  • Direct customer liaison (internal & external)
  • Attend meetings and assist in setting priorities of team
  • Acting upon information discussed and implemented during meetings
  • Develop & maintain close working relationship with purchasing to ensure continuity of external parts supply
  • Lean materials management and understand lean principles

Profile

  • Clear understanding of MRP systems and Planning parameters
  • Clear understanding of Inventory Control and Supply Chain Management
  • MFG-PRO knowledge advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of trace-ability processes
  • Background in Kanban systems

Job Offer

Top level salary is £32,000. This is a role with a company who offer fantastic progression both at site and group level.
