ROLE: Production and Materials Planner

PERM ROLE

HOURS: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week

SALARY: £23,000 - £25,000pa dependent on experience

Do you have experience using MRP or a similar ERP?

Our client, based North of Leicester are looking to recruit an experienced Production and Materials Planner to join their team. To work in a culture of continuous improvement and they are recognised Industry Leaders. My Client is based in the UK , and for the right person this role could be an immediate start!

THE ROLE

  • To produce, approve and monitor the production plans for all manufacturing plants
  • To order and progress raw materials from supplier base, to ensure material availability for plans whilst maintaining parameters and adhering to the set replenishment levels
  • To accurately enter and maintain sales forecast data for purposes of production and materials planning
  • To regularly review the production capacity plan versus sales forecast and versus actual incoming demand in order to promise realistic dates to customers
  • To confirm achievable despatch dates for incoming sales orders, and re-promise with the most notice possible where there is a failure
  • To prepare Production plans for the Manufacturing process and meet customer promise and expectations
  • To progress and expedite work orders for planned materials from internal suppliers
  • To effectively manage stock levels and sales forecasts
  • To assist in planning meetings and update and report on KPI’s

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience using large volumes of data in a manufacturing environment ideally
  • Detail orientated analytical skills
  • MS office proficiency - Excel Essential
  • Previous exposure to a planning process/Materials analyst or a similar role
  • Experience of working to a recognised quality standard
  • Commercial outlook with demonstrated commitment to customer care
  • Experience in MRP/ERP
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to work within a busy, fast paced environment

Perm role-£23-25k plus free car parking
