ISQ Recruitment is working on behalf of a well - regarded client in the Norwich area to find a Production Manager to work in their Factory, within the Food Manufacturing Sector. If you enjoy the responsibility of leading Supervisors, Team Leaders and Staff ensuring excellent operational performance, apply for this great opportunity. 

Role Purpose:  
A pivotal role which sits neatly between the shop floor and the Operations Manager, whilst supporting other operational functions such as Supply Chain, Packing and Warehouse.  
This Position would ideally suit someone who has a solid production foundation within a food factory and would suit experienced managers as well as supervisors who are looking to step up. 
The ideal candidate will be great with people, whilst having a detailed understanding of food factory processes & be systems oriented.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Line manage and work alongside the Production Supervisors in all production related matters, acting as the main contact point/escalation point and interfacing with the production office and warehouse.
  • People Safety, Food Safety, Product Quality & KPI’s across the factory.
  • KPI and other Ops reporting and chair the morning Ops meetings.
  • Staff training, induction.
  • Provide assistance to supply chain and warehouse functions where required.    
Person Specification   
  • Experience of working in food manufacturing essential, alongside knowledge of BRC and retailer standards  
  • Understand factory processes and has used systems to record factory activity.   
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience in manufacturing environment
  • Own transport due to the location and working hours
