Shift Pattern: 38 Hours - 07.00 to 15.30 Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and 07.00 – 13.00 Friday

Opportunity Summary:

We have a vacancy for a Production Controller.

Role Accountabilities:
  • Work closely with the Planner & Manufacturing Manager to maximise performance to the agreed SIOP Plan
  • Ensure on time launch of WIP and associated documentation is achieved on a daily basis to enable the SIOP plan to be executed on time
  • Fully understand and embed the “operating rules” for launching. Escalating any requests outside of the Operating rules to the Planner.
  • Identify where other functions are preventing on time launch to be achieved, ensuring that both Containment and Improvement Actions are in place to remedy the situation in the relevant forums/meetings (Daily Operations Meetings, Standard Diary Meeting etc)
  • Support the Planning/Despatch function with the following Production administration activities:

- Work-to-List generation
- KPI Generation
- Split Offs
- Creation of Documentation packs for despatch of parts
- Updating of Day plans
- Updating of SOP
- Updating of Packaging Matrix

Person Specification:

  • Planning experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to work to tight and ever-changing deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Accuracy in reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with all key stake holders.
  • Ability to change workload priorities without compromising agreed service levels.
  • MRP/ERP experience.
  • Advanced EXCEL skills
