Job Title: Principal Consultant - Planning (Built Environment)

They are looking for a Principal Consultant to continue the commercial and technical growth of their Built Environment sector. This will involve capitalising on their impressive client list, and the ability to unlock and develop new and existing client opportunities and relationships. The Principal Consultant will be an expert in Planning and environmental services and have a solid working knowledge of all local planning legislations and the delivery of projects. Responsibilities:

  • Drive the company’s Build Environment Planning offer and capitalise on their existing clients
  • Unlock and develop new and existing client opportunities and relationships
  • Provide exceptional advice on a range of planning topics
  • Lead advisor in client meetings and presentations
  • Business development, developing new and existing client opportunities and relationships
  • Evolve the wider planning team by developing and monitoring junior planning staff
  • Taking the lead in project management and delivery

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable consultancy based Planning experience focusing on the Built Environment
  • Excellent knowledge of local planning legislation
  • Business development experience
  • Team management and growth
  • Project delivery expertise gained within Planning Consultancy
  • Relevant RTPI accredited degree and full RTPI membership
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
