A Primary School in Bury St Edmunds is looking for a Learning Support Assistant on a full time ongoing contract.
The successful candidate will be available to start immediately as this is an urgent need.
The school has a high proportion of learners with statements of Special Educational Needs and therefore we are looking for candidates who are confident with behaviour management and supporting the teaching and learning of young people with additional needs.
Your duties will include:
o Preparing learning materials under the supervision of the teacher
o Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups
o Adapting support according to needs
o Looking after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
o Creating a stimulating environment
o Giving information and help to teachers
o Keeping records and attending review meetings
What we are looking for:
o Confidence in classroom management
o Recent experience of working within a Primary environment
o Ability to engage and inspire young people
o Flexibility and adaptability
