Primary SEN TA
TradeWind Recruitment is working with a client school based in Walthamstow, London, dedicated to providing exceptional support for students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the primary section across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). We are seeking passionate individuals to join as Primary SEN Teaching Assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN in the primary section, spanning across KS1 and KS2.
- Assist in planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials and activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills appropriate to their age and ability.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies to support students with diverse needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
- A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this position.
