Primary School Teaching Assistant
SupportED Recruitment are looking for teaching assistants to work with schools in the York area. This is for both long and short term contracts. The roles are to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and the positions can be general teaching assistant work or include 1:1 opportunities within an SEN setting. If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a classroom where you can inspire children at the same time as managing behaviour then we would love to hear from you.
In the role your duties will include:
- Helping the child engage with their education, by helping to create an engaging learning environment.
- Supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis
- Providing social and emotional support
- Monitoring pupil progress
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
- Generating resources
- Dealing with challenging behaviour
Requirements?
- Ideally experience working and supporting primary aged children
- Two references ideally from educational establishments
- A valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one through SupportED Recruitment
