LTF Recruitment is collaborating with multiple Primary Schools in Derby to enlist adept Higher-Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) who excel both independently and as team contributors, particularly in supporting children with special educational needs such as ASD, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays. The ideal candidate will exhibit a comprehensive understanding of these diverse needs.
What will your responsibilities entail?
- Delivering one-on-one and small group instruction in Literacy, Numeracy, and Phonics interventions.
- Encouraging engagement and facilitating interaction among SEN students in lessons and curriculum activities.
- Coordinating with the classroom teacher to provide feedback on progress.
- Opportunity to cover Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) duties throughout the school.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Relevant teaching assistant qualification.
- Previous experience working within a school setting.
- Exceptional understanding of special educational needs.
- Flexible and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication skills.
- Level 4 TA qualification desirable; experience as a TA is advantageous.
