Pricing and Operations Coordinator

My Birmingham based client is looking for a someone to join their procurement department as a Freight Pricing and Operations Coordinator.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To take responsibility preparing customer quotations
• Preparation of quotations for global offices and overseas partners
• Ability to follow quotation process created by Airfreight Manager
• Go the extra mile with follow up of quotations to secure as much business as possible.
• High communication skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Ability to negotiate with airline carrier and selected subcontractor haulage providers.
• Build internal relationships with colleagues and externally with customers and suppliers.

Skills and experience required:

• Minimum 3 years freight forwarding industry knowledge.
• Proactive with strong organisation skills
• Knowledge of airfreight, pricing, processing, and operations
• Knowledge of RFQ and tenders
• Knowledge of freight incoterms
• Experience using Airfreight quoting platform Webcargo
• Experience using Cargowise ~ Preferred.
