Pricing Analyst

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an experienced Freight Pricing person for a well established Freight Forwarder based in the Sunbury-on-Thames area.

Job Description:-

Complete air, ocean & road pricing for internal & external clients. Use communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the business using resources available to maximise opportunities. Negotiate with carriers and vendors to ensure best possible buying conditions. Analyse data to identify opportunities.. Working closely with the sales & management teams to develop business within the current portfolio of business.

Job Role Responsibilities:-

1. Customer Liaison - to receive and process customer requests in a timely fashion. To build relationships with customer and suppliers. To gain trust and become customer preferred supplier.

2. Systems / Software Knowledge - to utilise a range of in-house systems to process customer bookings to meet the requirements requested by the customer

3. Customs & operational Compliance - Understand of country and local customs requirements. Work in line with company compliance processes to manage risk around the business.

4. Planning - Work load and Time management being able to plan , prioritise customer requests .

5. Commercial Awareness - to understand and use the current carrier rates to ensure company achieve a positive margin

6. Procurement - Reviewing carrier performance and maintaining rates.

7. Customer Liaison - to receive and process customer requests in a timely fashion. To build relationships with customer and suppliers. To gain trust and become customer preferred supplier.

8. New quotations received and actioned according to the instruction from the Customer

9. Instructing hauliers of the requirements to arrange new shipments

10. Liaise with all parts of the business to be able to meet the requirements set out in the customer request.

11. Client rates - assisting and maintaining where required client rates within Cargowise

12. Costings - managing and looking after the costings module, to ensure the operations and internal sales teams have correct rates saved with the correct validity.]

13. Maintain and look after Cargowise functions which are restricted to other members, i.e Vessel creation etc.

14. Customs Compliance - to have a good understanding of what documents could be required when quoting import or export shipments

Working hours are Monday - Friday 0900 - 1730
