Press Break Operator

We are looking for a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our Production – Press & Weld department. The successful candidate will work individually and occasionally as part of a team to operate a range of machinery, producing a variety of metal materials to a high-quality standard and meeting hourly production targets.

• Operate CNC press-brakes and other machinery to produce standard and bespoke metal products.
• Maintain high-quality standards and perform regular quality checks.
• Communicate proactively with supervisors, managers, and Quality Control regarding production, quality, and health & safety issues.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy.
• Adhere to health & safety standards, following instructions and wearing appropriate PPE.

• Previous experience in engineering sheet metal production, setting, and operating CNC press-brakes.
• Experience with Trumpf machines is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment.
• Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
• Operational fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and effective contribution.
