Prep Technician / PDI Technician - A new opportunity to join a fast growing business has arisen, to join a family run dealership in the Talbot Green area.

We are looking for a PDI / Prep Technician, where you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines.

You will ideally be a Level 2 minimum Vehicle Technician or have previous PDI or Prep Technician experience.

The Job: Vehicle Prep Technician / PDI Technician

• Service and repair all vehicles focusing on brakes, tyres, suspensions ect.
• Report on all additional repair requirements as they are identified
• Make written and verbal reports on service and repair activity to the workshop controller in order to obtain authorisation
• Complete all administrative procedures (including warranty) relating to service and repair work
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Undertake vehicle road tests when necessary
• Working to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times *
• Responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles.
• You will be working in a busy, but state of the art workshop and have the opportunity to work on the latest cars, engines and diagnostic equipment, ultimately leading to the ability to undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on vehicles once fully qualified.
• Servicing brakes and mechanical parts of the cars

Job Experience: Prep Technician

• City & Guilds OR NVQ 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and repair
• Experience of working in vehicle repairs
• PDI experience
• You must have worked in a fast-paced environment and have good hand-eye coordination.
