Salary  Up to £40,000 DOE

Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Are you ready to advance your career in Commercial Insurance? An opportunity has arisen for a talented individual to join a well-known household name a Premier Broker.

This respected insurance brokerage, located in Staffordshire, specialises in serving clients in the Construction Industry. With a focus on delivering tailored insurance solutions and exceptional customer service, they are committed to excellence.

Role overview

As a Premier Broker, the successful candidate will manage larger, more complex accounts, with premiums ranging from £25,000 to £1 million.

Responsibilities include handling the entire process from cradle to grave, managing an average portfolio of 60 clients. This dynamic role encompasses claims handling, new business acquisition, mid-term adjustments, renewals, and conducting face-to-face client meetings. The Premier Broker will also be responsible for brokering and securing new business with existing accounts.

Duties

  • Mid Term Adjustments, i.e Additions, Deletions, Amendments
  • Claims Handling including claim reporting, repudiation challenges, claims negotiation.
  • Sub-contractor/Hire insurance checking
  • Contract checking – typically JCT/CDM Collateral Warranties
  • Midterm review – pre renewal – renewal meetings with customers at their premises
  • Renewal broking
  • Renewal report writing
The Candidate

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Commercial Insurance, preferably within a Broker setting
  • Exceptional interpersonal and broking skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with clients and assess their risk attitudes.
  • Passion for customer service and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Cert CII qualification preferred but not essential.
