In the financial year ending 31 March 2019, Global Blue processed 36 million Tax Free Shopping transactions with a total value of €18.2 billion sales in store, and 28 million Added-Value Payment Solutions transactions with a total value of €4.4 billion sales in store.

Communications Team

The Communications Team is looking for his/her PR & Brand Content Manager. The position will be part of the Communications Team, which reports to the EVP Marketing, Communication and Customer Value Creation, member of the Excom.

The team is composed of the VP Communications, who manages:

  • the Digital & Identity Manager,
  • the PR & Brand Content Manager and
  • the Internal Communications & Transversal projects (part time job),
  • The team is split between Paris and London

Nature and aim of the position

The PR & Brand Content Manager position will consist in supporting the VP Communications in the Press Relations and Public Relations and creating brand content for all communications channels (Social Media, Global Blue website, Intranet…).

The PR & Brand Content Manager will directly interact with Top Managers in the Product teams (BI, Tax Free Shopping), the Function teams (HR, Legal, Finance) and the Marketing team.

Main duties and responsibilities

In that context, the PR & Brand Content Manager will be in charge of:

Press Relations

  • Develop and roll-out PR plans for Global Blue news: imagine, write and distribute press releases (products, services, corporate news, etc.)
  • Monitor key trends impacting Global Blue (tourism, retail, luxury, payment news)
  • Manage media requests and media lists

Public Relations / Events

  • Organise physical and digital events and coordinate Global Blue’s participation in events (logistics and content based on Global Blue data)
  • Coordinate implementation of partnerships with key institutional stakeholders
  • Support local teams in organising local events

Brand Content

  • Corporate marketing:
  • Monitor key macro-events and news impacting international travels and shopping
  • Based on the research, build stories to strengthen our relationships with your clients and get interest from reporters
  • Contribute to regular presentations dedicated to the topics monitored with the BI Team
  • Social media: contribute to Global Blue’s LinkedIn page content strategy (content creation, internal training, stats…) with the Marketing team
  • Website: enrich and Global Blue intranet

The position is offering a great potential for growth for a candidate with at least 5-7 years working experience, interested in being exposed to a diversity of topics, curious to understand.

Background and Education

  • Business school or university (Master Degree in Journalism, PR, Communication)
  • At least 5-7 years of working experience, in a communication agency firm or communications positions
  • Experience in Payment or in a data-oriented sector is a plus
  • English Native

Specific skills and knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective writing skills in English
  • Ability to pitch to media.
  • Excellent Social media skills
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically for planning successful PR campaigns.
  • Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
  • Ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Good teamwork
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organization and autonomy
  • Ability to work in a transversal way, with different teams within all the organization
