We are currently seeking a Mailroom Operative for a temporary position based in Chichester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving organisation and be part of their dedicated team.

As a Mailroom Operative, you will be responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing mail. Your main duties will include

· Sort, scan and deliver hard copy post as per scheduled guidelines and delivery points within the office

· Copying, scanning and printing any job requests received within a timely manner and to deadlines

· Logging incoming items into the building as per procedure and delivering to recipient

· Replenish stationery cupboards as/ when needed and as per scheduled guidelines

· Book courier requests as per incoming client requests, including providing labels and delivery of items to loading bay/ main building receptions

· Complete scheduled mail runs including collection post, sent out as outlined by client (1st, 2nd, Special or Recorded)

· Meeting rooms - assist FOH team with set up of meeting rooms as per Client request (including moving furniture)

· General Porterage - delivery of incoming items to floors including print, files, boxes, kitchen items, bulk paper and any other ad hoc deliveries

· To deliver an efficient, timely and professional archive and retrieval service for our clients, both internal and external; for all client files, deeds and wills.

· To continue to integrate all pre-existing card/paper records into an electronic format to include scanning documents where necessary prior to being sent to secure offsite storage.

To excel in this role, you will need to have excellent organisational skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail is crucial, as you will be responsible for ensuring that all mail is delivered promptly and to the correct recipients.

No prior experience is required for this position, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a professional environment. Full training will be provided, ensuring that you have all the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the role.

This position is based in Chichester, conveniently located just 12 minutes walk from Chichester train station. This makes it easily accessible for candidates commuting from nearby areas.

This is a temporary position with an hourly rate ranging from £11.50 to £12.00 per hour. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
