Summary:

Do you have experience in a project management support/coordination role? We are recruiting for a PMO Analyst to join a company which plays a central role in supporting competition in the non-household retail water market. As a PMO Analyst you will provide colleagues with a consultancy-style service from project initiation and throughout the lifecycle of the project, ensuring that a common approach is adopted, and good practice is shared. You will work with project owners to report on project status, progress, risk and issue management and benefits delivery. This will include providing administrative support, specialist support (planning, project and risk management expertise), coaching and reporting. Key responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans
  • Track Programmes/Projects through the lifecycle to ensure timely execution and completion.
  • Create detailed reports to share with the PMO Team, Managers, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Proactively capturing Risks/Issues and escalating to PMO Manager when required.
  • Maintaining RAID log and chasing up action owners for resolution of risks and issues
  • Liaising with Project Team members and providing suggestions/solutions to unforeseen issues
  • Support regular operational functions of the PMO, including highlight reporting and project reviews against set deadlines
  • Manage workstack plans on behalf of Subject Matter Experts (SME) and provide support for the delivery of the solution. Create reports and communicate internally to provide a progress update
  • Planning and implementing Project Management strategies based on templates and toolsets

(Microsoft Project, Office 365, Monday.com)

  • Provide secretariat support to PMO Managers, including the co-ordination of diaries, arranging and servicing meetings, filtering problems and enquiries, drafting and issuing documentation, attending meetings on behalf of the manager as appropriate and presenting solutions to the wider team

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a project support role with proven reporting skills
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of complex information efficiently and effectively, ideally using MS Excel, MS Access or SQL.
  • A good understanding of project management controls
  • Ability to analyse complex situations and develop considered options and responses.
  • Ability to articulate complex options clearly and concisely to senior decision makers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Economics/Business is desirable
