PLC Programmer / Mechatronics Engineer / Automation Engineer required to join an established and growing manufacturer of control systems, electronics and automation products in the Grantham area.

The successful Mechatronics Engineer / Automation Engineer / PLC Programmer will either be of a junior/graduate level in a Software / Automation discipline or experienced PLC Programmer / Mechatronics looking to further their career.

PLC Software Engineer Position Overview

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Writing, programing and coding for PLCs and Control Panels.
  • Programming software and coding for a SCADA and Remote Support systems.
  • Work alongside a design team to carry each project through from initial client proposal, to design, manufacture and aftercare support where required.

PLC Software Engineer Position Requirements

  • Degree / HND / HNC / Apprenticeship Served in an Automation, Robotics or PLC Programming field of study.
  • Proficiency in the use of C+/C++ or C# is desirable
  • A pro-active and self-motivated attitude is required for this position.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Full UK Driving license
  • Living within a commutable distance from Grantham
  • Good knowledge of Rockwell, Mitsubishi and other PLC, HMI/SCADA software preferred but not essential. Other programming software is acceptable.

  • Salary depending on experience
