Play Assistant (Permanent)
£6,069 - £6,525 (16 Hours per week, Term-time only)

The role of Play Assistant in our Nursery is a position for someone who enjoys working in busy motivated team where supporting young children is our priority. The role comprises direct working with young children, supporting and enriching the play environment. Key duties will included overseeing lunchtimes in our nursery setting and supporting nursery staff to deliver a high quality learning experience.

The Individual

As the successful applicant, you will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships with families and colleagues alike. We want someone who is enthusiastic, able to work on own initiative, responsive to children's needs and genuinely enjoys working with young children in a nursery environment. some experience would be beneficial but not essential.

For the role of Play Assistant there is no entry requirement but you will be required to work towards a childcare qualification.

You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for Day Care of Children within 6 months of commencing employment and responsible for maintaining annual membership.
