We currently have a Plant Operative vacancy available within our Plant Maintenance department based in Glasgow.

What will you be doing day to day?

You will work with a team of plant fitters, either as an individual or as a small team, undertaking routine and non routine work on all plant and equipment items, including instrumentation, providing support to the various business units across Scotland.

What you’ll need

Ideally you will have experience of mechanical maintenance and will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent although training will be provided where necessary.
You will be able to demonstrate competence in the use of workshop equipment; ability to work within SGN safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HS&E and Company legislation. You will also have a working knowledge of regulations associated with the disposal of waste.
You will have the ability to understand and work to instruction and be able to plan and organise resources in order to ensure that work is carried out efficiently.
Experience of working in a team environment would be beneficial
You will have good leadership qualities together with excellent inter-personal skills
A full driving licence is required
