Salary: £25,545 - £27,803 p.a (plus annual benefits)

Job Type: Full -Time, Permant

Planning Support Office – The Role:

In this post you will provide administrative and procedural support for the Department. Duties will include the back office support with respect to planning applications from submission to decision, following set procedures and within agreed timescales using ICT systems. You will liaise with the applicants or their agent regarding submitted planning applications, provide support to officers and customers, responding to enquiries generally, and maintain departmental records in order to provide statistical information for monitoring/research purposes. If you have experience or interest in digital transformation, then an opportunity would be available to assist with a Government funded project.

Planning Support Officer – Key Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative and procedural support for the Department

- Handle back-office support for planning applications from submission to decision, adhering to set procedures and agreed timescales using ICT systems

- Liaise with applicants or their agents regarding submitted planning application

- Offer support to officers and customers, responding to inquiries and providing assistance

- Maintain departmental records for statistical information for monitoring and research purposes

- Opportunity to assist with a Government-funded project for digital transformation if experienced or interested

Planning Support Officer – You:

- You will need to have 3 GCSEs (to include English and Maths)

- Must have strong communication, administrative, organisational and time/workload management skills

- to be able to demonstrate relevant experience within a customer service environment
