We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Phlebotomist to joinour busy Diagnostic Services Outpatients Department. Location includes the Clinic Main Site at 20 Devonshire Place and 5 Devonshire Place.

Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres, including a Hybrid theatre and two minimally invasive and day surgery theatres. The Duchess of Devonshire Wing is our award-winning cancer centre, which includes state-of-the-art radiotherapy, chemotherapy suites and dedicated patient bedrooms
The job holder will work mainly with our Ward Based Patients and patients in the Outpatients Department requiring phlebotomy and sample collections.
This is a permanent part time post,27.5 hours, Monday to Friday, variable shift pattern. Plus 1 Saturday in 3, extra payment when worked and extra hours as required on occasion during the week.
The job holder will also be required to work the following shift pattern throughout the week to cover the service opening hours of Monday to Friday 08:00 – 19:00 hours and Saturdays 08:30 to 13:00
Shift pattern: 08:00 to 13:30
13:30 to 19:00
08:00 to 19:00
Saturdays 08:30/ 09:00 to 12:30/ 13:00
The salary for this role iscompetitiveand will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Skills & Experience
- Experience of working in a clinical environment
- NVQ in Health Care Level 3 or equivalent desired
- Extensive recent phlebotomy blood collection experience and can demonstrate working with a variety of patients groups.
- Knowledge of pathology tests, computer keyboard literacy and the ability to work to a high standard are essential
