Performance & Attribution Analyst, Asset Management
Our client, a boutique asset manager, renowned for its exceptional fund performance exceeding market benchmarks, is seeking a dynamic Fund Performance and Attribution Analyst. With the decision to bring performance measurement in-house, this role offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the future operational model for performance calculation and attribution reporting across various asset classes including fixed income, equity, and multi-asset funds.
Responsibilities include calculating client and benchmark performance returns, conducting stock and sector level attribution, addressing performance queries, conducting peer group analysis, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports to name just a few tasks. The ideal candidate will possess circa 2-3 years of fund performance experience with segregated clients and pooled funds, gained either from an asset manager or a third-party administrator.
Strong numerical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience with in-house processes and third-party systems for performance return calculations are essential. While familiarity with SQL and Power BI is advantageous, it is not mandatory. An analytical degree qualification is also required.
In return, our client offers a collaborative working environment, study support, modern offices and amenities, hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office, generous bonus potential, and a fantastic benefits package that is hard to compete with. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to a rapidly expanding asset manager committed to ethical and sustainable investing.
