Pensions Scheme Accountant

The Role

We are seeking a full or part qualified accountant to prepare pension scheme accounts. Previous pensions experience is not essential but experience preparing statutory accounts and or management accounts is required. This role is open to a move from practice or industry.

The role will include;

• Preparation of accounts
• Updating the accounting system with transactions and journals
• Obtaining valuation and disclosure information on scheme investments
• Calculation of accruals and prepayments
• Reconciliation of pension payroll, investments, contributions to accounting records
• Preparation of a trial balance
• Preparation of cash analysis for FRS102
• Liaising with internal Administration, Actuarial and Investment teams to obtain information necessary for drafting accounts.
• Preparation of audit files
• Liaising with auditors and Trustees to resolve audit queries.
