PE Teacher OR Experienced Sports Coach - SEMH

Salary/Rate £150 - £230/day

Location: Newham, East London

School: All-through SEND school in Newham

JDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a temporary PE Teacher with QTS OR an Experienced Sports Coach/unqualified PE Teacher to work on a full-time basis from Monday 15th April 24 (with a view to secure a permanent contract) at our all-through SEND school based in Newham, East Ham.

- To teach/coach students in KS3 - KS4 with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

- Able to teach GCSE and BTEC PE.

- To start from Monday 15th April 2024

- Must be available to work full-time (term-time only) - Monday to Friday.

- This is a very challenging role and due to the severity of the student’s needs, they are prone to swearing and violence.

- We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and committed Physical Education teacher or an experienced sports coach to teach a broad and balanced PE curriculum in line with the National Curriculum to secondary learners.

- Offer pastoral support, always ensuring the maintenance of good behaviour in line with school procedures and policies.

- Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

- To write accurate reports on learner’s progress.

- Demonstrates consistent excellent practice.

- You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to teach students with SEMH.

- Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm

- Nearest Station: East Ham with excellent transport links.

- Must have at least 3 months UK school experience teaching/coaching students with severe challenging behaviour.
