Uniserve, a leading logistics and freight forwarding company committed to providing top-notch services to our clients worldwide, is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Payroll department.

FTC - 12 months to cover maternity leave

As our Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our payroll function. You will work closely with our outsourced payroll provider, the wider HR team and other departments across the business to maintain high standards and ensure compliance.

The role requires:

  • Process payroll data accurately and on time, including manual calculations and data entry (predominantly UK, with some international support).
  • Manage administrative duties like new starters, leavers, overtime, expenses, and payroll records.
  • Complete regular audits to guarantee data accuracy.
  • Provide first-line support and advice to employees, managers and senior leaders on all payroll matters.
  • Collaborate with departments like Finance and Accounts, the pension provider and administer company benefits.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to GDPR regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on statutory and legislative changes (UK & International).
  • Deliver a professional and efficient service to our internal clients.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Prepare reports for the Payroll & Benefits Manager, Head of HR Operations, HR Director and senior management.

We seek a candidate with:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Experience liaising with a payroll provider.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll processes, tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Discreet handling of sensitive and confidential information.
