Payroll Administrator
  • Annual Salary: £23,000 progressing to £25,000 after six months
  • Location: Leicestershire
  • Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid working available

We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in high-volume environments, who is familiar with payroll processes and software. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining employee data, and resolving payroll-related issues.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Check the number of hours employees have worked.
  • Calculate wages, salaries, pay raises, shift payments, and overtime compensation.
  • Issue employee wages by cash, cheque, or electronic transfer.
  • Collaborate with the human resources department to maintain accurate employee data.
  • Calculate and issue tax forms and related documentation, assisting employees in their completion.
  • Deduct tax and insurance payments and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Update employee bank records as necessary to ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Initiate direct deposits and manage payroll-related queries from employees.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working within a volume-based environment.
  • Previous role as a Payroll Administrator or in an HR Shared Service position.
  • Proficiency with Payroll software.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
