A local business are currently recruiting for a sole-charge payroll administrator to join their team in Basingstoke. They are a successful, family owned company that have grown to now have operations in Hampshire and Surrey. Our client is open to considering the possibility of this being a full-time position that will grow to take on additional accounting and ad-hoc responsibilities. Or if you are a payroll professional that is looking for flexible working hours or a part-time position, this could also be an option for you.
Your new role
This job is a sole-charge payroll position, that will be responsible for processing a monthly payroll of 300 employees. Your duties will involve preparing and processing the payroll from start to finish including the input of new starters, bonuses and overtime. You will also assist with journal preparation and monthly reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
This job requires someone with previous payroll experience, ideally on a monthly basis. To be successful you will be organised, able to work to deadlines, and enjoy working by yourself and as part of a team. Experience using ADP would be beneficial, although not essential to the role.
What you'll get in return
This is a permanent job offering a salary of £25,000-£29,000 depending on experience and will be based in their Basingstoke office, with parking available. This role also comes with 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and other benefits such as flexible working hours and private healthcare.
