Our client a national provider is seeking a Senior Health Practitioner to join their expanding team working on the new Work and Health Programme (WHP) this role will provide direct line management and support the professional development of staff working within the Health & Wellbeing Team, as well as having overarching responsibilities for clinical governance and safeguarding.

Key accountabilities

Integral role in the setting up, monitoring and ongoing evaluation of the overall Health related services within WHP on a local Contract Package area (CPA) basis

Ensure the delivery of the service meets the quality standards as described through the clinical governance framework

Build relationships with key stakeholders including, GPs, employers and relevant NHS bodies

Identify and build relationships with other organisations upon which the successful delivery of the contract depends Refer participants to relevant external health or specialist services as required

Collaborate with operational colleagues on the setup of workshops and the service delivery model of the local WHP contract

Offer return to work advice and guidance for both participants and Keyworkers on an ad hoc basis

Capabilities

Essential

  • Proficient in IT
  • Broad range of clinical experience with significant post graduate experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively network to build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Understanding of the local Health services and the how to integrate with them

Desirable

  • Health Management experience in a services industry
  • Occupational Therapist or Chartered Physiotherapist experience

Qualifications

Given the nature of this role, it is essential that post holders have either all, or some of the following:

A qualified health professional with either a H.C.P.C. accreditation or equivalent or N.M.C. qualification.

Additional information

This role will be remote in the North West of England and will require travel in and around this area

For this reason a Full UK Driving License and your own vehicle are required for this post
