Are you ready to safeguard history and hospitality in one of the world's most iconic locations? Join our team as a Security Officer at the world's oldest Whiskey distillery! With 20 hours per week split across two shifts over the weekend, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and the thousands of visitors who come to experience our renowned distillery. We're looking for proactive individuals who are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our premises. If you're passionate about protecting both people and heritage, this is the opportunity for you!

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address any security concerns or breaches; ensuring thorough coverage of the entire facility
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and CCTV systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activities or security breaches promptly
  • Respond to alarms promptly, investigate the cause and take appropriate action to resolve the situation, this may involve contacting emergency services, coordinating with on-site personnel or implementing security protocols as necessary
  • Control access to the premises by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials and ensuring only authorised individuals gain access to restricted areas
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, patrols and activities, prepare detailed reports documenting any incidents, observations or security-related issues encountered during your shift
  • Collaborate with other security team members, as well as with other departments within the distillery, to maintain a cohesive approach to security and address any emerging threats or challenges effectively
Essential Skills
  • SIA Licence
  • Must have a full clean driving license and access to own vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Provide a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
  • 1yr Security Experience
  • Computer literate
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • No current criminal convictions
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Proactive
