Part Time Bookkeeper
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join a company in Dudley as a Part Time Bookkeeper.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Company Secretary Responsibilities:
- Keep comprehensive records of all Board meetings.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and accurate minutes to Board members.
- Handle complaints regarding the Chief Officer/Chief Executive on behalf of the Board.
Finance Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee financial procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports as required.
- Manage banking, invoicing, and credit control processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor petty cash expenditure.
- Maintain oversight of charity and social enterprise cashflow.
- Liaise on school contracts and oversee invoicing/payment processes.
- Maintain bookkeeping up to trial balance level and liaise with accountant for annual accounts.
- Manage PAYE payroll and payments to freelancers.
Personnel Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct payroll entry for all personnel.
- Calculate salaries against project budgets/contracts.
- Issue payslips and statutory documents (e.g., P45, P60).
- Ensure compliance with HMRC payments and pension scheme enrollment.
Funding & Business Development:
- Liaise with Chief Officer/Chief Executive to identify funding needs.
- Source necessary quotations and prepare budgets for bids.
- Prepare budgets, cashflow forecasts, and contracts for new business ventures.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications: At least AAT Level 2
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with charitable accounts.
Non-essential, but Useful Skills:
- Knowledge of services for young people.
- Experience working in the charitable sector.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
