Palantir Consultant - SC Clearance Required

Start date: ASAP

Rate: £600-£670 per day
Engagement: Inside IR35 via Umbrella Company

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data pipelines, workflows, and applications using Palantir Foundry applications such as Workshop, Pipeline Builder, Data Lineage, Quiver, Notepad, Ontology Manager, Object Explorer, and Contour.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Utilize coding languages such as Python, TypeScript, SQL, and JavaScript to build and maintain Palantir Foundry components and applications.
  • Perform data ingestion, transformation, and integration from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Implement data modelling, data governance, and data security best practices within Palantir Foundry, including setting up role-level accesses and Resource Viewers (RVs).
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including data lineage, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Manage projects involving Palantir data gathering, implementation, customization, write-backs, edit functionality, delete functionality, and other data manipulation operations.
  • Design and implement data visualization solutions and user interfaces within Palantir Foundry applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of Palantir Foundry solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Palantir Foundry features and best practices, must be able to contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's development processes.

Key Skills

  • Strong Engineering background demonstrated by a Bachelor 's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including data integration, workflow development, application building, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, TypeScript, SQL, and JavaScript.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
  • Experience working with large-scale data sets and data warehousing solutions.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data security, and data quality principles.
  • Ability to work in an Agile development environment and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Palantir Foundry.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and their applications in data engineering.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in a Government or Defence-related industry.
