Essential experience: Operational Technology (OT)

In short: Security Solution Architect with demonstrable experience wth OT required to design secure solutions for Backups, Disaster Recovery, BCP.

In full:

• The Security Solution Architect is a senior-level position responsible for planning, designing, testing, implementing and maintaining Backups.

Key accountabilites:

• Design, implement and support Backups across OT (secondary media storage, testing & automation)
• Build security infrastructure to automate backups across OT (Operational Technology) from scratch or update existing systems in response to ongoing changes in the security landscape, including new risks and adherence to applicable regulations
• Develop a complete understanding of a company's technology and OT systems
• Align organisational security strategy and infrastructure with overall business and technology strategy
• Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats
• Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge
• Plan, research and design robust security architectures for any IT project
• Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cybersecurity requirements
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
• Provide supervision and guidance to a security team
• Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies and procedures
• Regularly communicate vital information, security needs and priorities to upper management
• Provide information to project management related to status of past, current and future activities
• Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organisational projects
• Monitors the project lifecycle from intake through delivery
• Works with product marketing to define requirements
• Engage in security review and consultation during the design and implementation phases of new projects
