Our client is a small/medium sized company based in Ware. They design, install and maintain the alarm systems in Hospitals, MOD sites, Pharmaceutical companies, shopping centres and hotels across the UK and Ireland.

Having grown from strength to strength over the last few years, their team is also getting bigger, and they now need another new recruit to work in Operations & Works Management.

This would suit an experienced Fire Systems Engineer looking for the next step in their career, or someone already in a similar role.

This is an office based role with time out on site.

Duties will include:

• Overseeing project plans for installations, maintenance and repairs
• Assisting the administration support team with technical queries
• Supervising the administration support team in matters relating to projects
• Assisting the Engineers with problems on site
• Assisting in the design of new sites and re-works
• Acting as a conduit between back office and Engineers
• Liaising with suppliers over the phone
• Interpreting CAD and technical drawings
• Travelling to sites may sometimes be an overnight stay

The Ideal Person:

• Experience as a Fire Systems Engineer, or good working knowledge of fire systems
• Project management
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings
• Ability to design fire systems
• Good communication skills
• Common sense and confidence
• Full UK driving licence

The company are looking for someone who will make this job their own. The ideal person will be able to work autonomously, reporting in to the senior management team. You will be managing a team of excellent support staff. You will need to be a natural communicator with the ability to ensure everyone has the information they need.

Hours of work are 8.30 to 5pm, Monday to Friday, subject to change due to the requirement of the role. Some travel will be necessary.

Salary £45,000 to £55,000
