Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading and innovative player in the chemical process, manufacturing industry in the recruitment of a Head of Operations / Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing & production function at the Sheffield plant.

With a commitment to excellence, our client is seeking an experienced Production and Manufacturing Manager manage the overall activities, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of chemical manufacturing processes.

As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing operations.

This Operations Manager Duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead resources to produce excellent products to meet customer and business requirements. Characterise manufacturing, filling and packaging performance and communicate to all levels of the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement processes improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and efficiency enhancements
  • Engage and build effective teams. Coach, develop, reward and train employees for to grow and develop. (This includes hiring, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and implementing HR policies)
  • Drive improvement programmes to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, safety and quality engaging teams to generate ideas and execute plans
  • Get to root cause of safety, quality and supply issues and implement effective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs to address compliance issues and drive continuous improvement in regulatory compliance processes

Elevation Recruitment Group are keen to speak with people who have the following skills and demonstrable experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in either chemical / chemical engineering field
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the chemical process manufacturing industry
  • Strong technical expertise in chemical engineering and process optimisation
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performance engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements
