Operations Manager

We are looking to recruit an experienced business operations manager. This is a key position in an SME organisation. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of logistics, manufacturing , supplier management, warehousing and supplier management in a specialist engineering business. Experience in a similar role with an SME sized business with a B2B customer base would be an advantage.

You will manage a small team of around 10 people. The company produce specialist engineering solutions for the manufacturing sector through a mixture of working closely with third party business partners and in house assembly of complex sub systems.

In this position you will need good communication and leadership skills to focus a willing team. It is likely you come from a supply chain or manufacturing back ground. You will have a passion for getting it right first time and the ability to continuously review and improve process.
This is a key role in the business, you will work closely with the MD taking ownership of the operations side of the business, managing supplier relationships, ensuring sufficient stocks of key components and subsystems, organising and focussing the small manufacturing team and be the person who joins the dots to ensure orders are assembled and delivered successfully working closely with operations, clients and suppliers during the fulfilment process.
