Our client is of the UK's largest an most progressive Leisure Centre operators. They are currently looking to an Operations Manager to join their leading facility based in the heart of Berhamsted, Hertfordshire.

KEY OBJECTIVES

- Ensure the implementation of the company Safe Manual.

- Maintain a high profile `shop floor` presence and a high level of interaction with the staff and customers.

- Respond quickly and efficiently to my complaints from staff or customers. Feedback any key issues to the General Manager.

- To carry out any duties of other members of staff if necessary, e.g. cover for breaks, holidays, sickness etc.

- To ensure the appropriate levels of trained staff are delivering standards of performance at all times.

- To take on such duties that may be delegated by the General Manager

- To chair staff meetings as agreed with General Manager.

- To monitor performance of certain staff (agreed by General Manager), through regular meetings and Performance & Development Appraisals. Feedback key issues to General Manager.

- To oversee the day to day maintenance and cleaning within the Centre.

- To co-ordinate and oversee the performance of the Duty Managers, including their designated areas of specific responsibility.

- Promote a good working environment whilst monitoring a high staff morale.

- Provide regular support and advice to staff.

- Liaise as necessary with the Client Monitoring Officer(s), reacting quickly and efficiently to any issue raised.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years management experience within a leisure centre or health club setting. Ideally we are looking for candidates who are NPLQ and PPO qualified, however training can be offered to the right level of candidate.
