Our client are an award-winning group of financial services and technology companies, working with close to 20% of UK financial advisers and their clients. By combining their Investment Management expertise with advanced Wealth Platform technology, they offer financial solutions built for the future and that of their clients.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Salary package is up to £28,672 inclusive of a monthly bonus.

What will I be doing?

This role consists of 2 key components.

Control Testing:

  • Liaising with key stakeholders to identify existing 1st line controls in place to mitigate potential risks.
  • Completing a forensic assessment of those controls, ensuring they are fit for purpose, effective at mitigating the risk and appropriately evidenced.
  • Compiling and producing written reports confirming the outcome of these assessments, amendments to any assigned ratings and providing action points to address issues identified.

Remediation:

  • Reviewing submitted tasks requesting for corrective action to be taken on accounts where an error may have occurred.
  • Using internal system to calculate account positions and the differences in amounts between different dates.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and the management team to agree resolutions.
  • Completing any required remedial work which has been approved, including the movement of funds within the business.
  • Production and dissemination of control reports and management information from the internal systems and logs.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within a Control Testing / Quality Assurance environment or experience within the Financial Services industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good general knowledge of Microsoft Office, willing and able to develop knowledge of systems and processes across the Group.
  • Ability to investigate issues, determine required actions and see incidents through to resolution.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to analyse data and identify trends.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and to strict deadlines, individually and as a team player.
  • Positive and self-motivated with a can-do attitude to problem solving.
