An established and growing Commodity Hedge Fund based in Mayfair, London with over $150 million AUM,is seeking to recruit an Oil Derivatives Trader to bolster its expanding Commodity Trading desk and Operations teams.

Overview:

The Oil Trader (Derivatives) will play a pivotal role in executing and managing derivatives trading activities in the oil market. Operating within a fast-paced and competitive environment, the trader will utilize their expertise to capitalize on market opportunities, manage risks, and deliver profitable outcomes for the company.

The firm has recently experienced a surge in Assets Under Management (AUM), onboarded new Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Traders, and is now seeking a high level Trader.

  • Hybrid, or full time in the office in Mayfair
  • 150 AUM worth of trading last year
  • 1m+ of VAR to trade with
  • Good risk levels
  • Only cost is the desk cost which is $250k or less a year - they pay for all platforms for Traders (if you don’t use all the platforms then you pay less desk cost)
  • Across the barrel trading in all areas of Oil

Essential criteria

  • Current OIL DERIVATIVES Book to be £5m+ (not for a team but individual billing)]
  • Can work Remotely and go to Mayfair Office once per month OR can be in the Mayfair Office every day !
  • Experience in Oil Derivatives only, not Derivatives off the back of physical trading.
