Currently, we are seeking a talented Ocean Trade Analyst to bolster our Ocean Trade team. This multifaceted role revolves around administering contracts, monitoring utilisation, and spearheading analytical endeavours to optimise yield development.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update customer rate tariffs, ensuring seamless handover to the Tariff Management Team
  • Manage carrier contract agreements, facilitating smooth handover to the Tariff Management Team
  • Actively participate in carrier review meetings, including the preparation of presentations and statistical analysis
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Trade Management Team as needed
  • Oversee and facilitate the completion of long-term customer tender responses
  • Monitor customer volume performance against agreed commitments
  • Track volume performance to core carriers against agreed commitments
  • Stay abreast of NAC and FAK market rate developments on major trades, internally sharing pertinent intelligence
  • Engage with market intelligence partners to ensure full awareness of future developments, maximizing value and ROI (e.g., Xeneta)
  • Review volume allocation of NAC and FAK per carrier, striving for optimal yield
  • Assist in carrier landside negotiations and take administrative ownership of communicating updates and maintaining costs
  • Provide regular trade and carrier management reporting in accordance with team requirements
  • Undertake other tasks as necessary

    General Skills:

    • An extensive background in Ocean Freight operations is essential
    • Proficient knowledge of the Ocean carrier landscape
    • Strong understanding of ocean market dynamics and trades
    • Exceptional communication and analytical skills
    • Thorough process and systems awareness
    • Meticulous attention to detail
