Caritas Mind are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to support the ward in delivering therapeutic care and appropriate vocational activity to the service users.
The Hospital specialises in providing secure services for women and men with mental illnesses and/or personality disorders including both medium and low secure care environments.
About the Role
The role in West Sussex is a secure mental health hospital for male and female patients aged 18-65 within a low and medium secure environment as well as high dependency units.
The successful OT will support and contribute to the Multi Disciplinary Team, other duties include service development e.g. writing session plans and risk assessments, and contributing to weekly multidisciplinary team reviews and CPA meetings.
To be successful as an Occupational therapist, you’ll need:
An accredited post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
Interest in working within a forensic environment
We would ideally like an OT with forensic mental health experience, although this is not essential.
