Occupational Health Advisor
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (pro-rata for part time)
Location: County Hall, Chelmsford, with travel to other locations across Essex
Hours: Full Time : 37 hours per week, though part time will be considered

As part of a dedicated team, this exciting role will help us to shape and deliver the wellbeing strategy for ECC; iintroducing innovative approaches to support the wellbeing of our workforce and broader service offer. This will include contributing to the development and delivery of ECC's wellbeing strategy , and working with colleagues across the organisation to identify opportunities to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of ECC's employees.
Day to day you will manage a varied occupational health caseload, delivering a brilliant service to internal and external customers as part of our traded service offer . Ensuring that clinical standards are met, you will be responsible for a full range of activities including health surveillance, pre-employment and ill-health assessments. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of case records; delivering against Service Level Agreements; and analysing trends to help us identify changes and improvements to the wellbeing service, as well as ensuring that ECC meets its statutory requirements in terms of wellbeing at work.

You'll need a current and relevant registration on the NMC Register and an additional specialist Occupational Health Nursing qualification, or substantial experience of occupational health at an adviser level. With evidence of continuous professional development you'll have a broad range of clinical skills, the ability to write and present clearly and experience of developing and implementing policies and standards. As you will be required to work across a number of locations you will need to be able to demonstrate you can travel flexibly.
