NQ - 2 PQE Solicitor - Inquests / Public Law
An NQ - 2 PQE Solicitor is required to join a team of lawyers who specialise in acting on behalf of the secure estate. This role will sit as part of (SHE) Regulatory Department in the Manchester office.
Role Overview
Candidates who have previous litigation experience together with a very good level of EL/PL knowledge knowledge will be considered for this role.
Public law experience will be beneficial but is not essential. The teams work includes prison regulatory and they regularly handle inquests arising from deaths in custody. Full training will be provided to candidates who wish to pursue a career in this sector.
Candidate Profile
You should ideally have 1-3-years PQE with some previous experience of either public law or EL/PL litigation, inquests however, candidates without this experience who wish to pursue a career in this field could be re-trained if they can establish good level of basic knowledge.
- Prior experience working on defendant EL/PL cases is essential
- Public Law experience is desired
- Experience in running own files (you will be responsible for the day to day running of a caseload)
- Able to work as part of a team
- Qualified solicitor
- A real passion for developing a career in this area of work
