Our client is a leading Managed Services Provider (MSP) specialising in providing IT solutions and support to educational institutions. They are committed to ensuring that schools have reliable and secure network infrastructures to support their educational goals.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Network Field Engineer to join the team and provide exceptional technical support to schools in the Milton Keynes & Northamptonshire area. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising network systems, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity, and resolving technical issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
Conduct regular network maintenance and updates.
Collaborate with school staff to understand their IT needs.
Install and configure network equipment and software.
Document and maintain network diagrams, inventory, and configuration.
Maintain network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures.
Qualifications:
Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA Network+).
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Additional Skills required:
• Experience in a related field.
• Valid full driving license and access to a reliable car for transportation to various school locations
DBS check will be necessary and requested.
Position Type:
Full-Time (40 hours per week) £25k per annum + Car allowance 45p per mile
Part-Time (37.5 hours per week, term time only) pro rata of the £25k + Car allowance 45p per mile
