There is the need for travel to client sites throughout the UK and potential for working overtime, therefore only candidates resident in the UK will be considered.

Salary range for the mid-level role is £30-40,000 pa

Salary range for the senior role is £50-70,000 pa

I am working with a specialised cyber security consultancy in the South of England. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking 2 IT Networks Infrastructure Engineers. You will specialise in project delivery and network optimisation. In this role, your expertise in TCP/IP networking and hands-on experience with leading products will be instrumental in ensuring the recovery of customer networks where they have been infected with Ransomware, proactive maintenance through regular updates and project delivery to enhance the network security.

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in the team dedicated to providing excellent service and response to our customers.

Who You Are:

Successful candidates will possess a solid background in TCP/IP networking and hands-on experience with products such as Cisco, HP, Aruba, etc. I am looking for one mid-level experience candidate and one senior candidate. The following qualifications and skills will be advantageous:

  • Experience in IT support roles or managed service provider (MSP) environments.
  • Proficiency in IT project delivery and implementation.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Server OS, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA).
  • Familiarity with network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal, to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

What You Will Do:

My client is based in Poole but will consider hybrid and remote working for this opportunity as it involves travel to client sites accross the UK. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to design, deploy, and maintain robust network infrastructure solutions for their clients. Key responsibilities include:

Project Delivery:

  • Leading and supporting IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with best practices and industry standards.

Network Optimisation:

  • Performing regular assessments of network performance and capacity, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implementing proactive measures to optimise network performance and enhance reliability and security.
  • Troubleshooting network issues and implementing timely resolutions to minimise downtime and disruptions.

Technical Support:

  • Providing technical support to clients, including diagnosing and resolving network-related issues.
  • Assisting with the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network equipment and software.
  • Documenting support activities and solutions to contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
